Ikejime is more than the name of their restaurant. Ikejime is the Japanese method of killing a fish in order to maintain the quality of its meat. A traditional technique that not only preserves the meat’s quality, but more importantly, ikejime is the least painful way to kill a fish. Living by their motto: Serve With Care, Eat With Love. Ikejime’s mission is to highlight the ikejime method, bringing more insight and transparency to the food they serve while also serving quality, authentic Japanese seafood in a casual dining environment.
